This Privacy Policy describes how Dedset ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the Dedset mobile application (the "App").
We are committed to protecting your privacy and collecting only the information necessary to provide the App's functionality.
Summary
We want you to understand what happens with your data. Here are the key points:
- We do not sell your personal data. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
- No cross-behavioral advertising. We do not share your data for cross-context behavioral advertising. Dedset is a premium app, and we do not need to engage in such practices.
- You have control. You can access, update, export, or delete your data at any time through the App or by contacting us.

Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect information necessary to authenticate you and manage your account, which may include:
- Email address
- First name and last name
- Username and display name
- Account identifiers (including internal user ID and authentication identifiers)
- Subscription tier and access status
- Account creation and login timestamps
- Marketing communication preferences
Subscription and Purchase Information
When you subscribe to Dedset Premium, the following information is processed:
- Subscription status (free or premium)
- Subscription renewal and expiration dates
- Original purchase date and latest transaction date
- Auto-renewal status
Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and by RevenueCat, Inc., our subscription management provider. We do not have access to your payment card details, billing address, or other sensitive payment information, as these are managed by Apple's purchase systems. RevenueCat does not store raw payment data.
Health and Fitness Information
With your permission, the App may access health and fitness data available on your device through Apple HealthKit, such as:
- Workout activity data
- Heart rate and recovery-related metrics
- Sleep-related data
Health data is accessed only with your explicit consent and is used solely to provide fitness and training features within the App. We do not store HealthKit data on our servers or share it with third parties. You can control access to health data at any time through your device settings.
Training and Workout Data
The App collects information you provide or generate while using training features, including:
- Training plans and workouts
- Exercise performance (sets, repetitions, weight, completion status)
- Progress and training history
- Optional user feedback related to workouts (pre-workout soreness, exercise intensity, post-workout fatigue)
- Progression engine data and adjustments
This data is stored locally on your device and synchronized to cloud services to support account functionality. It is used to support workout tracking, progression, and App functionality.
Community Content and Social Information
If you use the Community features of the App, we collect and store:
- Training plans you choose to share publicly, including plan title, summary, structure, experience level, and training goals
- Your display name or username, which is shown publicly as the author of shared plans
- Comments you post on community plans
- Download and interaction counts on shared plans
- Follower and following information
Content you share to the Community section is visible to other users of the App. Your author name is displayed alongside any plans or comments you publish. Training plans shared to the Community are stripped of personal performance data (weights, completion history) before being made available to others.
App Usage and Analytics Information
We collect limited information about how the App is used to help improve performance, reliability, and user experience. This may include:
- App launches and navigation events
- Feature usage patterns
- Onboarding and setup completion
- Login method and frequency
This information is collected through Google LLC's Firebase Analytics. It is presented in aggregated form and is used solely for product improvement. It is not used for advertising or user profiling purposes.
Legal Basis for Processing Your Data
We process your personal data based on the following justifications:
- Contractual necessity — To provide the services you signed up for, including account management, workout tracking, subscription fulfillment, and community features.
- Your consent — For optional processing such as accessing HealthKit data, receiving marketing communications, and sharing content to the Community section. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interest — To improve the App, ensure security, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service, where such interests do not override your privacy rights.
- Legal obligation — To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal process.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Authenticate users and manage accounts
- Provide and maintain core App features, including workout tracking and progression
- Manage subscription status and premium feature access
- Operate the Community section, including displaying shared plans, comments, and author attribution
- Sync data across devices
- Improve App performance, stability, and user experience
- Send marketing communications (only with your opt-in consent)
- Respond to support inquiries
- Protect against misuse, fraud, or unauthorized access
- Enforce our Terms of Service and community guidelines
We do not use your information for targeted advertising.
Third-Party Service Providers
We engage the following third-party service providers to operate the App. Each provider processes data on our behalf and is contractually obligated to use such data only for the purposes of providing their services to us.

- Training and workout data is stored locally on your device where possible
- Account data, subscription status, and community content are stored in Google Firebase Firestore to support account functionality, data synchronization, and community features
- Data is transmitted using encrypted connections (TLS)
We are committed to keeping your data safe and have implemented technical and administrative measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We recommend keeping your app up to date for the best protection.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Information is shared only:
- With other users — When you publish content to the Community section (shared plans, comments, your display name)
- With service providers — Listed in the Third-Party Service Providers section above, acting on our behalf under confidentiality and data processing obligations
- When required by law — In response to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Dedset, our users, or the public
Data Retention and Deletion
- Account and training data is retained for as long as your account remains active
- Community content you have shared (plans and comments) may persist after account deletion to maintain the integrity of the Community section, but will be disassociated from your account
- Analytics data is retained in aggregated form indefinitely
- Subscription records may be retained as required for financial and legal compliance
- You may delete individual workouts or your entire account at any time
- Account deletion permanently removes your account data, profile information, and private training data from our systems
Your Rights and Controls
Regardless of where you live, we are committed to respecting your privacy rights. You may:
- Access your personal data and request details about how it is processed
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information
- Delete your account, workouts, training plans, or community content
- Export a copy of your data by contacting us
- Restrict or object to certain processing of your personal data
- Withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g., HealthKit access, marketing communications) at any time
- Control health data permissions through your device settings
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@dedset.co. We will acknowledge your request within ten (10) business days and respond within thirty (30) days. If we require additional time, we will notify you of the reason and extension period.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to Know — You may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of collection, the business purpose for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to Delete — You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Right to Correct — You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing — We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not deny you services, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your CCPA rights.

Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under the applicable age, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
International Users
Our company is based in the United States, and our service providers operate in the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to such transfer and processing. We will ensure that your personal data receives an adequate level of protection in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes, we will post the revised Privacy Policy at this URL and update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
